An attempt in college to visualize Lovecraft’s description of these hybrid monsters. I tried several versions of them, blending the features of the listed creatures together. Unfortunately I missed the bit about them having webbed feet when I drew these.
People used to do this every day in Dinoland’s splendid Dinosaur tent, a feature of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Sadly, the tent, once full of terrific fossils or fossil casts including many full-sized specimens, was taken down and replaced by a “Finding Nemo the Musical” theatre, which seems misplaced here at best.
Nope, the Theater was there on opening day, having housed a Jungle Book show and a Tarzan show before Nemo came around. The Dinosaur Jubilee tent was replaced by the Dino-Rama carnival area.
Wow, I forgot all about that! Thanks for reminding me. But I still miss the dinosaur skeletons in that great tent. That and the prehistoric forest, which is nearly gone now.
